College Application Letter Master Seminar

 

 

Get a head start on your college applications.  As with all things, your college entrance essay must be succinct and specific to your institution of higher education. Due to overwhelming, Post-Covid demand, Dr. Austin will be offering (2) two sessions of The Entrance Essay Master class seminar--based on the latest trends in advanced composition theory, and giving you the most competitive edge as you strengthen your college application packet with impactful, memorable essays (or answers to essay prompts).

Each Seminar Session consists of two meetings; Meeting One:  (Virtual) Required Pre-work; Mindset Adjustment

Meeting Two: (In-Person) Intensive Instruction in Drafting and Navigating an Impactful College Entrance Essay!

 

Instructor Qualifications:

• PhD in English with over 20 years higher-education experience as Director of English Education, tenured Associate Professor of English, and member of the undergraduate and graduate faculty at Stephen F. Austin State University.

• Extensive Experience Writing Pre-AP/AP/and Dual Credit Curriculum

• Extensive Experience evaluating and scoring entrance writing prompts across top-tier Colleges and Universities.

• Thousands of successful students now in residence in the top-tier of universities.

• Currently Serving as a Department Chair and Professor of English at the largest transfer institutional in the Greater Metropolitan Houston Area.
